Ocrolus + Plaid: How it works (Overview)

Ocrolus and Plaid have partnered to offer lenders an easier way to process bank data in order to make informed loan decisions. Ocrolus digitizes bank statements from all U.S. financial institutions to help lenders digitize their data collection for cash-flow analysis. Plaid enables businesses to instantly connect a customer's bank account, giving them the ability to authenticate and retrieve account details directly from the financial institution. 

With the Ocrolus + Plaid integration, customers can verify their accounts in seconds by inputting their banking credentials in Plaid’s front-end module. Ocrolus can then retrieve the relevant bank information for ingestion via two methods: a JSON document or a Plaid Audit Copy Token. Once connected, Ocrolus categorizes and analyzes the data and returns it in a seamless, secure fashion.

Getting started today

You must be an existing Ocrolus customer to begin retrieving Plaid data. If you do not have an Ocrolus account, please fill out this access form to get started. 

You should familiarize yourself with Plaid Link, a drop-in integration for the Plaid API that handles validations and error handling. You will need to sign up for the Plaid API Keys to leverage their Link and API products to retrieve the borrower bank account data. If you do not currently have a Plaid account, you can contact your Ocrolus representative for assistance.
